ORCMA needs a new Executive Director

The Oak Ridge Civic Music Association (ORCMA) is an umbrella organization for the professional Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra, volunteer Oak Ridge Chorus, professional Chamber Series, and volunteer Coffee Concerts. Our mission has been to bring live-performance music to Oak Ridge and vicinity for over 70 years. ORCMA is seeking qualified applicants for the position of salaried Executive Director (ED) to coordinate the ORCMA office in Oak Ridge, salaried Music Director & Symphony Conductor, salaried Chorus Director, and volunteers. The ED is responsible to a volunteer working Board of Directors, which is organized under guidelines for a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The successful applicant will have good skills working with volunteers, managing an office, preparing concert and fund-raising publicity, preparing grant applications, arranging concert venues and programs, and assisting with concert production. A background in music is desirable but not essential. Preference will be given to residents in Oak Ridge or West Knoxville who can readily commute to the office and events in Oak Ridge. The position is one half to three quarters time, with compensation to be negotiated with the ORCMA Board depending on strength of qualifications. Serious applicants can obtain a more complete job description and submit applications at www.orcma.org/edsearch during the month of January 2018.
